A bit about me
Hey, I'm Michalis. I grew up in Greece and moved to the Netherlands to work in data.
I'm a Data Analyst at Booking.com, where I built the Booking.com for Business data infrastructure from the ground up. My core strength is analytics engineering: dimensional modeling, transformation layers, pipeline orchestration, executive dashboards, ML models in production, and integrations with downstream platforms.
Before Booking, I was at bol.com, the largest online retailer in the Netherlands & Belgium, doing analytics, automated reporting, and dashboard development. Both roles gave me hands-on experience building data systems in large-scale, fast-moving environments.
On the side, I build things for the web, this site included. Built with Astro, React, and Tailwind, using AI-assisted development tools like Windsurf / Cursor and Claude Code. I enjoy the process of turning an idea into something real and well-crafted.
